TTS - current information good, bad - current info

Was wondering if anyone has any current information good, bad and/or indifferent on this company--Transcription, Technology and Support, LLC? Consistent work, fair pay (or as far as possible in this market), management/supervisors, QA? Any 411 is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Make sure you work your exact shift unless you've been permission to deviate. This applies whether you are employee or IC. TTS has 2 different platforms with 2 different team leaders. One is awesome, the other is not. Pay is bad. If you get the acct that begins with "F", it has 35+ pages of acct specs and they are very very picky, 80% ESL. Good luck making money.

Yes, stick to your schedule. That is a must!! They have a system that tracks your on-line time with them, too, so don't fall short of your time. If your system is idle for, I believe 4 minutes, you will be hearing from them. The "F" acct that the other person spoke of is an over-flow acct for TTS. The "F" facility has it's own in-house people and they are fully staffed on the weekdays and get first chance. Then on the weekends, TTS is begging, calling, pleading for help from the TTS staff. I asked for time off and was laughed at and told no. That's when I quit.

They're upfront about it, but not sure how I feel about this:

Production time is tracked off the technology system and monitors the time you are actually in the document working (hands on the keyboard or foot on the pedal).

"If you are idle in excess of 4 minutes the time stops tracking. You must remain actively working. If you are researching etc, give it 3 minutes. If unable to find, leave a blank and move on. The production time is the remote method of â��punching the clockâ�� and is monitored daily."

I do like that they pay for headers and footers.

TTS always pays on time. That's the plus, I guess. If you should consider employment with them and need a bit of flexibility in your schedule (which is not allowed), negotiate for a 12 hour window to get your 8 hours in. I found out after I started that there were people doing that. Sure wish I'd known that before.

I have been with them for 10 months. There were a few bumps at first and a few personality clashes, but those things have smoothed out by now. If you are disciplined, work your assigned days and hours (as should be expected with any job), follow account specifics meticulously, and keep your quality scores up, you'll do fine. Yes, they expect excellence, but with only a primary and a secondary account, it is not difficult once you know your accounts well. Yes, the pay could be better, but I rarely run out of work, my paycheck comes every 2 weeks, and the health insurance is reasonable. You are seeing only the negative posts. There are a few people who actually do not mind working there. There are more posts regarding TTS back in the archives back to the beginning of the year, may even some positive ones. First let me say that I have been an MT for 24 years. I have even work for Medquist which I thought was bad enough. TTS was the absolute worst company in my whole career. The managers are totally horrible. They think they can treat ICs just like employees (labor board sure did not agree with this when I sent them all their crazy emails). As far as your time/schedule goes, do not deviate for even 5 minutes! They will ask you what you were doing for that 5 minutes.

I had 1 decent account and 1 horrible account. On the decent account, I could easily edit 450+ lines per hour. On the other one, 250 at best. With the pay being so low, just could not make any money. (Thank goodness it was just a part-time job).

Needless to say, they monitor every minute and god forbid you miss 5 minutes on your schedule!

The upside was pay was always on time and QA was never a problem for me. Personally I liked their program but when a new account came on that the software was "learning," you could expect not to make any money at all and then they want to know why you didn't meet your minimum. Well duh!! Because your software stinks!

decisions decisions. I appreciate all the information, its hard deciding not knowing whether you are going from bad to worse. Not sure about the whole tracking thing even though I would work my schedule seems kinda overboard to me, I trust you to pay me you need to trust me to do my job and not treat me like a 5 year old. Just my opinion though.

Have read the archives but most of it is from 2009 and older, a few posts in 2010 but really hoping to find out more current information. They are offering IC status but then list the shifts that they expect you to work??? I've looked through the archives here and I'm not finding any current information on SOAP Transcription. Does anyone have any recent info for me on the company? Are they a good company to work for?
