Has anyone tested with them?

Here's their testing process if you're interested......it's a hoot!

I got a Word document which asked me to supply the correct spellings. The auto-correct feature already did this for me when I opened the document, so that was a no-brainer.

There were questions in which I had to choose the correct way to word a paragraph, etc. There was one that was especially troubling to me, it required me to choose the correct paragraph and it listed several diagnoses, but each paragraph (list) began with "diagnosis", so there was no correct answer. To me, the paragraphs should have began with "diagnoses", as there were more than one. Out of the goodness of my heart, I pointed this out to them in my e-mail when I returned the test and was told today I didn't pass!

Guess they didn't like my pointing out their error.....LOL

Awesome company! I tested and thought the test was hard and thorough. It is a 3 part hiring/testing process. Nobody is perfect! Great company to work for with lots of work and strong administrative support. Would highly recommend them.

I seriously wish I could post it and take a poll. I saved it only because it was so comical.

You're right though, nobody is perfect, but geez, my son could've come up with a harder test!

I vaguely remember testing for a company that had that same Word-based spelling test (lolz!). I don't think it was this particular company though (at least the name doesn't ring a bell).

I remember a second part of it was to circle one of three possible choices of what the correct "dictated" (WHAT dictation, it was just a written test, more lolz!)word/phrase would be. Ummmm, okay, but I'm not psychic and cannot possible fathom a guess at something I can't hear.

I was giggling and rolling my eyes through the entire process. Finally one of the questions was giving the correct meaning of an abbreviation. I cannot recall the abbreviation and it wasn't in any of my books nor in any online resources I use. I finally just hit google and filled in the first extended abbreviation that popped up which was THE NAME OF A BANK (again, more lolz!).

Yeah, they offered me the job because I had gotten everything correct except for the 2 where I applied witty answers.

Sadly, their pay scale was as lolzy as their test, so once I saw the first paycheck and how very little 3.5 cpl amounts to in an 80-hour week, I resigned.

But yeah, back to original topic, some of these tests are downright comical, aren't they? I giggled all the way through that one.

If the pay was a "lolzy" as you phrased - what did you take the position for? pretty much wasted everyone's time and blocked another from getting in.

Also - Any MT would know the "circle the possible choice of the dictated word" questions questions requires knowing your terminology (i.e., definitions).

Test might be a joke, haven't seen it...you're pretty funny yourself, there.

My docs dictate diagnosis and then list more than one. - that is not always incorrect nm

that maybe the way the test was set up, was part of the test? Possibly to test which MTs are very full of themselves and would be hard to work with. Just sayin...

have heard it gets slow during the summer, particularly July-August, but this slow? I love it there, I really really do. I read, below, about people who said just get used to the slow down and I am trying, but I am not evening making minimum. It all seemed to happen after the computers were switched over or whatever it was mid-May with lots of work and now barely any. They have terminated some office/administrative people and now have eliminated weekend incentives and given pay CUTS to transcriptionists. Work is nearly non-existent. At the beginning of the summer they said it was a temporary slow down and would pick up shortly. Instead it seems to be getting worse. Anyone know anything?? Someone asked about them and I am bringing it back up to the top. One person said it all now VR, another said they saw their only account in the "Nuance pool." I don't get it. First of all, what is a Nuance Pool? I work for them and although work has slowed down, if Nuance was now contracting, wouldn't the work be completely gone?
