Okay looks like there are 6 podiatrists in Iowa. So tempted to call and ask office manager if they know what is going on with their transcription...

PODIATRY - old and frustrated MT

I don't think we should apply to those ads any longer. I believe we are all getting fleeced! Can't find the name of the company or any info. I believe someone is getting their notes done by all of us applying to the jobs! I feel like an idiot about now!

I believe it's MnDScriberz.. sm - thismt

And I do think she's getting her work done by people applying and/or going on a trial pay for a few days. I know there were a couple of people last year who did get hired on a low trial pay, worked their butts off, and then were told they didn't cut it and were let go. If I remember correctly one had some issue with getting paid as well. If this is the same company, just beware. I LOVE LOVE LOVE podiatry, but will no longer apply to anything if I don't know what company it is before hand. I have been fleeced twice by doing tests(which I'm certain were actual reports) and also by working trial periods and not getting paid. :(

I'm tempted too but it isn't any of those DPMs. nm - anonmiss

Email From Company Advertising 5 Cpl For Transcription!
Jan 13, 2012

I cannot believe these MTSOs sprouting up, offering transcription for 5 cpl AND free trials, who advertise as though they are usingUS-based MTs but are obviously using third world slave labor and driving our salaries down even further.... I use only US-based and would rather go out of business then give them my business.... ...

Sep 03, 2010

I have 17 years experience in medical transcription with half of those years doing QA and the last four years doing VR for a hospital and I get an email back from the company saying they don't have any positions that would meet my criteria?!?!?! I have a FT job and I was looking to supplement my income, get ahead start for the holiday season, ya know and I'm told that a 17-year MT veteran doesn't fit into any of their positions? I am confused.  Do companies want to higher t ...

Is There A Company Without A Time Clock?
May 21, 2011

I get paid by the line.  I can't understand why they make me stick to 40 hours.  I can't get enough lines in in 40 hours to make a decent living wage.  Does anyone know of a company (not IC) that just lets me work as much as I want? ...

RE: Is There A Company Without A Time Clock
May 27, 2011

Lest any of you would like to continue debating whether the "activity" mentioned is legal versus illegal.  Transcend paid out MANY thousands for violating the laws you all are talking about and did so around 2006-2007 as did Softscript pay out many thousands MORE around the same time and there are no doubt more violations. I do not encourage you to continue being side tracked by the conflicting posts on this board but am quite confident you all will be.  ...

Every Time You Think This Company Cannot Do Anything More Ridiculous, They
Mar 21, 2015

do.  You would think they'd want to keep their MTs/document specialists (whatever) a little happy or at least on an even keel, especially since NO ONE seems to be going into this field anymore!!  Of course not!  Instead they try to intimiate with mandatory OT and "consequences."  Where do they hire these bozos.  Actually, Bozo the Clown would do a better job (and at least we'd have a few laughs instead of a whole lot of tears). ...

First put us on VR. Hey, good deal! I like VR.  Then then cut our pay in half and make us use a new program.  No big deal. It's supposed to be the best! I can live with it. I should still be making the same if not better. Uh-oh. Problems with the program. Support can't straiightens it out but, hey, I'll live with that! Just gotta learn to get around the quirks.  Oh, wow! No work. Pay going downhill. Hey, new accounts coming on line. Yippee! Maybe I can finall ...

Just Ctrl+U'd Twice For The Last Time. Such A Relief To Be Done With This Company.
Jan 17, 2015

I hope things change for the better for those who remain.   But since willfully stupid optimism isn't really my thing, I hope everyone who is unhappy with what has become of what used to be a pretty sweet gig finds better opportunities before things get much worse.   Off to exorcise all this garbage from my computer, and then on to pastures with more life in them. ...

My Son's Podiatry Doctor Said He Is Not Doing EMR
