Laid Off 8/17 and STILL getting runaround from NJDOL - avmt Posted: Oct 6th, 2018 - 12:56 pm
I was part of the 8/17/2018 layoff. My unemployment claim through NJ continues to get questioned and denied and pushed back. I was allowed to re-open my claim 9/30. I did. Now I have ANOTHER letter stating I have to have ANOTHER Claims Examiner Interview on 10/18/18. This is RIDICULOUS! It will be 2 months and still no unemployment. This all started because Nuance would not call the NJ DOL back when they had a couple of questions about the way the wording was stated in my severance agreement. The lame ass severance they gave me didn’t even cover a month’s salary and now what am I supposed to live off of for another 2 weeks. I have been laid off 5 times in my life and I have NEVER had such a problem like this before. I don’t understand it. I just want to pay my mortgage.
