Could you be hearing S’port wire

"For stent delivery, a 0.014-inch coronary extra support guidewire (S'port, Abbott, IL, USA) was used."

Could also be S'Port wire - sm

Not my field, but I've heard them called guidewires a lot more often than support wires, so they might be using a brand name.

S'Port wire (Also known as support wire by Guidant)
Xtra Support guide wire also known as Xtra S'port and Extra Support guide wire by Guidant

Is it S' capital P or lower case P? - NM

Abbott Labs has it lowercase P in their catalog - sm

I think it's trademarked as all capitals though, so I wouldn't say it's wrong to capitalize the P. But it's probably best to leave it lowercase, since it's obviously a contraction for the word "support."

Cardiac Cath - Support Wire Or Sport Wire?

JR4 guiding catheter with side hole was used to selectively engage the right coronary artery.  Short sport wire was advanced all the way to the distal vessel.  After that, we placed 2.75 x 30-mm Resolute drug-eluting stent We used a 3.75 EBU guiding catheter selectively engaged left main and the same sport wire was advanced ...

Question About Support
Jan 13, 2010

In the process of "the merge," I spent more than 2 hours on the phone with 2 support guys and one advanced support guy, before they could figure out what the problem was.  This was unreimbursed time in the evening - MY time. The guy I walked with before the advanced support guy, who was logged on to my computer (MY computer, not MQ's) asked me for my password.  This guy was snippy and sarcastic, and I wasn't happy giving him my password, but since I needed the ...
