I can never remember this one.

2 - stages are roman

stage II - ruby

docs I work for use the stage I etc, also subsegment I,II,III etc lobes of liver, cervical lymph node levels I, II, etc etc .... I use roman numerals for everything but stage of cancer.

always grade 2 for spondylolisthesis. (NM) - anon

You may be right but I have typed radiology for 3 different large hospitals,always used roman numerals, and these docs at my current job let it be known that they want roman numerals. Maybe it is what you call account specific or a radiology habit.

Can someone explain to me (or point me in the right direction of where to look) how do I know when to use IV versus 4. I'm doing searches but confused as both are coming up. All of my searching brings up only FIGO staging, never grading. I even checked the FIGO web site. So, when a doctor dictates it as grade, should it be automatically changed to stage? TIA ...

Hi, I have a question that is driving me bonkers trying to figure out. I transcribe radiology, and the following phrase is used frequently: "..... mild to moderate grade...." by one particular doctor.
