this is re: a tremor, action, essential
the doc clearly says wine..
A trial of wine has been somewhat, but incompletely, helpful.
Now that was so interesting I just had to Google it. - CrankyOldBroadOnTheBeach

And that's exactly it. My first Google hit included this text: Ethanol (the chemical in beer and wine that causes intoxication) reduces tremor in many patients, but patients generally don't use it regularly because it interferes with daily activities. Laboratory studies show that 1-octanol, a drug that is similar to ethanol, may have the same beneficial effect on tremors with less likelihood of intoxication.
So I would conclude that wine is exactly correct. Go figure. :)

I wonder how wine, could interfere with daily activities ;) chug chug.
Well that must be it!! thanks. I was almost thinking maybe there was a med I was misspelling and couldn't find, like "wyne" or maybe a type of test, and wine was the abbreviation.
thanks!

Of course, I haven't worked extensively in neurology, or whatever specialty might deal with wine as a medication (snorfle), so that was a completely new one on me. Thank heaven for Google.

There is controversial literature regarding the benefit of radiation, with the benefit of survival seen in the ECOG trial published by Loehrer, et al. Although the recent "lab seven" trial did not show a benefit in overall survival to radiotherapy, it was in subsequent analyses shown to have a better survival, and there was better quality assurance with the radiation fields showing that properly performed radiation therapy may actually provide a benefit. ...
