I will not be continuing. So boring! I thought HIT/RHIT would be a good way for me to get into coding, but I can see now that was the wrong decision. ...
Just wanted to hear from some of you more seasoned MTs out there...I am scheduled to sit for the RMT exam on Monday, 4/19 and have been preparing for this since mid-January by taking a review course via M-TEC. Several folks have advised me that rather than waiting the typical 2 years, I should consider studying to take the CMT exam immediately after passing the RMT. My book skills are good, and I graduated from M-TEC with a fairly high GPA. I have only been working for 2 months ...
I see that on the Andrews website, the average time to finish the coding course is 12 months. I have lots of time to devote to the course, and it would be nice to finish it earlier.
Has anyone here finished the course earlier? How long did it take you? How many hours a week did you devote to it? ...
because the acct was having more errors than it should. That really cuts into your lines. Who all of you proofreads, etc and do you think it is necessary on VR? It is very hard to make any lines when going back over the document a second time. ...
I finished training. They knew I was going to be working for a couple of weeks. Still have not heard from supervisor.
I was told last week I was now in the hands of my "supervisor" to contact with questions. I received nothing from any supervisor, and today I was told on the live training class to go to my supervisor and begin working immediately.
I have sent several e mails to find out when I actually begin working, wondering why I have not heard from this so-called supervisor who ...
Apparently this one is to be followed along with the BOS2, DQS Standards and Guildelines, and the CP. I just don't understand why we can't use just one. Most of the things in it are the same, but others are the opposite of what I've been taught and what the BOS2 says (for example, it is now okay to start a sentence with a number). They at least explained what qualified verbatim is. ...

Hello,
I am a fresh graduate from MTEC . I am currently preparing for AHDI's RMT exam. I bought the study bundle which consists of the RMT exam guide and an audio CD. Al in all, I have learned a great deal from the study guide... but... yes, there's always a BUT...
While reviewing the entire RMT exam guide, I noticed some blatant mistakes as well as unclear questions. One example is a mixup between "affect" vs. "effect". The RMT study guide's answer key states that "effect" is a ...
I would like to buy a copy of this book if anyone could sell me one for a good price? I can pay through your paypal account. I have seen some on Amazon but they are expensive and I am hoping to find a better deal. I don't care what kind of condition it is in, written in, whatever. Thanks :)

I am going to sit for the CMT in December, and I've been going through the CMT Review Guide. What I am wondering is how indicative of the acutal test is it? Were the questions/dictation samples easier or harder than the actual test?
I feel like I have a good handle on the material in the Review Guide, but I don't want to be blindsided in December and totally embarrass myself.
TIA!
And yes, I am not a big fan of AHDI, but I do get a pay incentive for this, so that makes it worth my t ...
