Can I write the following...

Estrogen receptor: Diffusely positive (> 95% of tumor cells)

or would you write...

Estrogen receptor: Diffusely positive (greater than 95% of tumor cells)

First of all, there is nothing anywhere (unless it's in your account specifics) that says to use that symbol and a lot of places don't like symbols in their reports. Also, it's more lines to type it out. :-)

Some platforms do not allow the > symbol. Check your accounts specifics if you have them or ask your employer. In the absence of either of the above, I would type out greater than. It's just my preference.
