Wondering How You Handle On Pediatric Reports When Sm Nov 27, 2012doc refers to mom or mother/dad/grandma, etc. I was taught that if it is "the mom" you would not capitalize but if you can substitute a name, then it would be capitalized.
The mom denies vomiting, but Mom states the baby..... (would that be correct as far as capitalization goes?)

Pediatric Intubation S/l "Brassler" --anyone Have Experience With This? Apr 10, 2010This is a tough one. The patient is a child who is being intubated. Doc says, "Using standard technique and following the dosing guidelines from the s/l Brassler tape, the patient was intubated."
So I don't know if this is like a cassette tape that the doc played to reaffirm how to intubate a small child or if the "tape" is actually an instrument or what. Sorry if this is the stupidest question imaginable, but I have absolutely no clue. Hoping someone will kn ...
