Insulin subcutaneously qam? - Hayseed

"subq" meaning subcutaneously maybe?

sub q is on the dangerous abbreviations list ... - another MT

[ In Reply To ..]
and needs to be spelled out.

SC, SQ, sub q Subcutaneous SC mistaken as SL (sublingual); SQ mistaken as â5 every;â the âqâ in
âsub qâ has been mistaken as âeveryâ (e.g., a heparin dose ordered âsub
q 2 hours before surgeryâ misunderstood as every 2 hours before surgery)

Use âsubcutâ or âsubcutaneouslyâ

sub q q.a.m. - ogd

I would type it out as "subcutaneous q.a.m." Meaning subcutaneous in the morning. q.a.m. is an okay abbreviation, but subq is not, unless your acct specs on your hospital says to go ahead and use it. some hospitals do not abide by the "Do not use list".

subcu not sub q - nm - EAL

Clearly "lancet" Insulin Listed In Med List.. Sm
Mar 12, 2012

I have slowed it way down and sped up, and it is clearly lan set.  Not Lantus.  I have archived lancet insulin, and everyone says it must be "Lantus" on those questions, because Lancet is the blood stick checker.  So...I am wondering if there is a "lancet" device that delivers insulin that I am missing, or do you think this is a flag? MEDICATIONS: Humalog, hydrochlorothiazide, Lancet insulin, Plavix, metoprolol, and lisinopril.  ...
