I am confused on when to capitalize bacteria and when not to. Like the word bacillus. When it stands alone should it be capitalized? Should pseudomonas be capitalized when it stands alone? Other bacteria words are lactobacillus, group D enterococcus, pseudomonas aeruginosa, staphylococcus aureus.
