Can a culture be specific for cipro? - mt

Posted: Dec 18, 2009

He says "pus aspirated from the abscess and the culture was specific for cipro.  He was placed on cipro".

Is that right?

I would take that to mean the culture is - sensitive specifically to Cipro

And that is his way of saying it.

If you are for sure hearing that, I would leave it that way. It does make sense.

Thank you very much. - mt

I was at one of those fine lines wondering if it did make sense or not, and sat staring. The harder I thought about it the more confused I got. LOL

Thank you for the reply.

Took The Survey And Was Very Specific With My Opinions
Dec 13, 2011

Very specific: Low pay, no incentive, extremely stringent time constraints, TIME CLOCK, MedQ does not support the workforce that currently makes their company.  Acknowledged that MedQ is busily developing technology to do away with the MT, but in the meantime, need to pay the highly skilled MTs that keep them in business.  Also acknowledged that personally I do not have a problem with a capitalist principle to develop said technology to make seemless VR into the EMR.. But until that ...
