Transfer fo expansions - sebadoo

Is there anywhere to get the instructions on transferring expansions? I am in SA4, instructions did not transfer.....support is too busy, was told they will call me......yeah.....like whenever they get around to it......afterr all the other calls regarding the same problem. I am trying to work without expansions and adding them as I go along!!! Any help out there? Would be appreciated!!!!

These are what we were given:

1.Log in to DocQscribe under company number (insert your company's number).
2.Be prepared to wait a period of time while ADT and dictators are downloaded. If you receive a "No Jobs Available" message log out and proceed to Step #4.
3.When the first job downloads abandon the job and then log out.
4.Double click on My Computer (on the desktop). If you do not see My Computer on the desktop, do the following:
a.Left click on the start button on the bottom left of your screen.
b.Left click on My Computer.
5.Double click (C:) located under Hard Disc Drives on Windows XP
6.Double click on the Documents and Settings
7.Double click on the All Users folder.
8.Double click on the Application Data folder. If you do not see this folder:
A. Left click on Tools (on the menu at the top of the box)
B. Left click on Folder Options
C.Left click on the View tab (across the top)
D.Under the Folder Hidden Files and Folders left click on the button next to Show Hidden files and folders.
E.Left click on OK.
9.Double Click on the DocQScribe folder.
10.Double Click on the MQ1 folder.
11.Double Click on the Cache folder.
12.Double click on the User Profiles folder.
13.Double click on the 61826 -or- 57527 folder (If you have both folders, select the folder for the service area that you work in most often).
14.Double click on the numbered folder. (if you have more than one folder here proceed to A.)
A.Click on View and then Details at the top of the screen
B.Choose folder with the most recent date in the DATE MODIFIED Column.
15.Single left click on user.aco (the file will now be highlighted).
16.Hold down the CTRL key and single left click on userdic.tlx (two files will now be highlighted)
17.Right click on either of the highlighted files.
18.A drop down menu will appear. Left click on Copy.
19.Click on the back button twice to take you back to the User Profiles Folder. (The back button is located on the menu bar at the top of your screen).
20.Double click on the 112260 folder.
21.Double click on the numbered folder.
22.Right click anywhere in the white area. A menu will appear. Left click on paste.
23.A box will appear on your screen titled Confirm File Replace. You should see two files names listed. Click on Yes to All.
24.Click on the red X at the top right-hand corner of your screen to close My Computer.

I am able to now get into the new service but I don't think any of my expansions copied. I have those same instructions. I went through every step except when I got to the end that box titled "confirm copies" or whatever did not pop up. I too have been trying to get through to tech support with no luck as the line is busy and has been the last several times I tried it. Maybe later tonight I can get in.

I ended up on hold with tech support a total of 3 HOURS! I was then told by tech that MQ should have had them do it in the first place and she quickly got it done. Good luck! (BTW instructions given to me were incorrect).

Copying expansions instructions error - Steeler fan

For those in the South area 57542 going to 112280, the emailed attachment instructions I got have an error in numbering the steps (15 and 16 twice) and an error in the second #15. After clicking on the back button twice (not the backspace!), you should double click on the 112280 folder. That will paste your expansions into 112280. Hope this helps waiting for Support. It worked for me.

Do youself a favor, buy your own expansion software. There are several good ones out there. You can transfer your DQS expansion file, and then turn it off the dQS one and use your own. They work with all programs based on MS Word (which DQS is), and you will Always have it. Most of them have a 30-day free trial, and techies for the one I'm using transferred my DQS expanders.
