Question about Scribe - suzzeebmt

I just got a new computer, and have set up Scribe and everything else to start using it. On my old computer, the page filled up the entire screen and the text was larger and easier to read. On my new computer, the page is centered in the screen and is much smaller than on my old one. When I try to zoom to 125% or higher, the demographics and other things get larger but the page stays the same size. I'm not sure what to try to get this the way it was on my old computer. Any suggestions?

I work with Scribe also. I have to change the same thing every time I restart. All you have to do is click the document part of the screen and then hold your control down and use your scroll on your mouse to make it bigger or smaller. I am not sure how to do it if you do not have the scroll on your mouse, but I am sure you can find the zoom hotkey combination and do it that way.

I will give it a try - it might be a pain to do it with every report, but I have to do something because it is driving me crazy!! Thanks!

I have been messing around with this all day, and I have finally figured out a solution for anyone who may need help with this. I right clicked on my desktop, clicked on personalize, click on display, and then change to a larger size. I chose medium(125%) which is the perfect size for my screen, and then just have to shut your computer down for the change to work. That just made my day!!

I have voice files sent to me that I cannot play in Windows Media or Express Scribe. They will load in ES but show 00:00 duration. I just saw an ad for a Medical Scribe. The description is that the MT accompanies the doc from room to room to see patients, sits at the computer in the room and transcribes the H&P/procedure while doc is doing the exam. Starting pay was $17/hr with full benefits. Anybody ever heard of this? I think it's a good idea, leaves the doc hands free to tend to the patient. It sounds a little like being a court reporter as far as "live" dictation being done. ...

Our high-volume hospital dept just went onto Powerscribe after many fits and starts. Everyone involved expected the MTs to get reports to edit but it looks like the doctors (who fought tooth and nail against this) are very happy with editing themselves. I have trained on the above platform and now have doubts about the above platforms. It seems to me it would be very difficult using these 2 platforms. Going through all the steps that you have to go through just to get 1 report done seems like a very long process.
