Does anyone have any info on medscribe out of Florida? Can you make decent money. Has there been enough work to keep everyone busy? I have been thinking of leaving my current employer after 10+ years and wonder if this is the right move. any insight would be greatly appreciated!

I have never run out of work. line rate not as much as some others, but steady workflow makes up for it. good people, very helpful, easy platform.

I have been at Med-Scribe for about 2 months. I have never run out of work. The software is great. They leave you alone and let you work. Pay is okay. We are offered overtime too once you are able to meet line quota. Great company to work for. Good Luck!

My story with Med-Scribe, FL - Spud

Since the first of the year my paycheck is now HALF of what it was. Why? They lost the account I was in and now I type an account and have done so since June where I cannot for the life of me maintain the 6000 lines were week (150 lines per hour). This account is quite technical, varied in dictators, no consistency in dictators, I could go on and on. Questionable on the work flow. There have been times when I have been out of work. They will move you to other accounts as they need if your account is out. I recently got a part-time job with ProbityMT.com, and make my 150/hour easily. Different type of account all together. Personally, I would not advise going to Med-Scribe. Like I said, I have lost just too much. I am sticking with them until I get a feel for the new company through the spring when work usually goes low. Good luck with whatever you decide.

This company was on my list of companies to apply to because of positive comments posted here. I just went to their website to start the process, and this is listed under "Employee Benefits:" Taxes paid -- employer portion It is right there in the midst of vision, dental, health insurance, etc.! I have voice files sent to me that I cannot play in Windows Media or Express Scribe. They will load in ES but show 00:00 duration. I thought possibly it was an encryption error as they possibly they are coming that way to be because they are secure but I sent to a friend and she can open them and play them. Windows Media states something about a missing codecs and I have installed if known codecs to man (I am on Windows XP). They just will not play or show the duration etc.&nbs ...

I just saw an ad for a Medical Scribe. The description is that the MT accompanies the doc from room to room to see patients, sits at the computer in the room and transcribes the H&P/procedure while doc is doing the exam. Starting pay was $17/hr with full benefits. Anybody ever heard of this? I think it's a good idea, leaves the doc hands free to tend to the patient. It sounds a little like being a court reporter as far as "live" dictation being done. ...

I just got a new computer, and have set up Scribe and everything else to start using it. On my old computer, the page filled up the entire screen and the text was larger and easier to read. On my new computer, the page is centered in the screen and is much smaller than on my old one. When I try to zoom to 125% or higher, the demographics and other things get larger but the page stays the same size. I'm not sure what to try to get this the way it was on my old compute ...
