Copying ESP - computer stupid

Posted: Dec 31, 2009

I use Dictaphone ExText at work and want to copy the ESP from it onto anothercomputer. Somebody told me that I need to have the ExText  in order to do this.  My question is, . . where do I get it?  Can I buy this program or download it?  I looked on Google under "Dictaphone" and couldn't find anything.  THANK's.

?Whatg exactly do you want - the whole program...sm - I tried to help but..l..

or just to copy the ESP? I thought you said you knew how to copy the ESP. I stated you could copy the ESP to another computer but it will be useless unless you have EXText on that computer, too. The program itself is not for sale to the general public. The ESP can be saved to your desktop by "save as" and choose desktop.

I have copied my abbreviations from the ESP onto a disc at work. I wanted to copy it onto my home computer. So, I can't do this unless I have EXText on my computer? Would I have to get a job somewhere that uses EXText and just copy my abbreviations? Why can't you buy it yourself, . . is this a program that is only licensed for big companies?

You can copy your abbreviations to only some...sm - OleMT11

IF the IT department knows how to do it. But most times the file won't transfer to another program. As far as I know, the platform is only saleable to MTSOs and usually in large number licenses. You could always call Dictaphone to see if they would sell directly but I'm in doubt.

Thank you. Is there any way to transfer it to any other expander, like autocorrect, shorthand, etc.? It would be equivalent to about 600 pages and take me forever if I did it manually. Thank's.

Sometimes I when I click on text to be highlighted, it won't "take" or the highlight skips all over the place. Or when I finally manage to get it highlighted on the 10th time and right click my mouse and choose copy, the highlighting disappears and I'm back to square one. (By the way, I experimented and this page is an example). Is there a trick to this?  ...
