I'm SOOOO done with... - MT=mostly tired

transcribing and FIXING NON-MDs (but rather PAID CRONIES) dictating for MDs on one of my accounts/Nuance...SEE YA!! I QUIT, as of this evening...the HECK with quitting on Monday..............I'M OUT!!

I remember having a job where it just got to the point that it turned my stomach just thinking about having to go in. I had become so miserable and at the end of every week and a lot of times everyday that I left there I was an angry, emotional wreck.

I got tired of feeling that way. I was off for a few days and the whole time all I could think about was how miserable and unhappy I had become at that job.

The day before I was scheduled to go back, I called and told them I quit. They probably didn't deserve a phone call, but it gave me gratification, relief and closure to pick up the phone and literally speak those words to them.

I should also add, I had no plan in motion. I just took a leap of faith and never looked back nor did I ever regret it.

I'm definitely not looking back either...I was just at the right place/right time (when I had my ER visit and met the docs I'm now going to do IC work for)!!

Again, BEST OF LUCK TO ALL MTs ON THIS BOARD...HANG IN THERE -- I'M PROOF THERE IS LIFE AFTER "DEATH"...LOL!!

I feel about my job the way that you felt about yours. THat is why I took the major step this week of filling out an application for early retirement benefits effective August 1, although I'm trying to get the date moved up. Best of luck to you.

If they would just learn the definition of the word, "flexibility". Instead of being flexible to let us do our work to the best of our capability, they always seem to default to "force" and "mandate". In terms of the "mandatory" weekend and night shifts, why not give the same choice of Sun-Thurs or Tues-Sat work week that all the other MTSOs have with a 12-hour window for your 8-hour shift? That way, everybody wins. The MTSO wins because the weekend shifts will be cover ...
