Who programs the ASR? - Gonzo

Okay, I want to know who programs the ASR. I'm told that we do, but anytime I make a ligit change, it doesn't stick. Yet, all of a sudden, on an account I have been typing on for 3 years, ASR starts changing the word stroke to a backslash (/) and this is for every instance. If this is something our lovely ILPs are doing, I don't think they are going to last long. If this is something our new USMTs are doing, it's no wonder our work is being shipped to our ILPs. end rant.

Not sure, but the ILPs will last forever because they have the MMEs to fix all of their reports. If the reports are not fixed exactly, its the MMEs heads on the chopping block.

I keep asking your question and getting no response. I think we should all start asking if anybody is in charge of ASR. Not an unfair request when it has had such a heavy impact on our earnings and is not doing what it was promised to do. If we all start sending questions to MTQuestions about this, maybe they will get the message, although I am not betting any money on this.

All we ask is that ASR does what we were told it would do. I'm getting tired of correcting tachycardiac several times a day. And that is just one example. Also tired of Advair discus. And every time the word stop is dictating, have to delete the period ASR inserts, take out the extra space and change the capital on the next word. These are things that should be corrected by now. Every little bit would help us get better on our ASR line counts, to get closer to what we were told we could expect.

All the promises made in the recent letter we received, forget those and just help us with ASR and I think we would all be a lot happier.

I agree about ASR! I can't get any answers either. There are so many errors that are stuck in there, it is ridiculous.

How do we know MTQuestions is gone? Was that announced somewhere? My e-mail still went through, which of course went unanswered. Makes me think my gut feeling that ASR has no one at the wheel may be true.

Oh well, at least we now have a poll on MQCentral. Don't know about everybody else, but that has yet to help me produce 1 line.

ASR techs probably fired - who knows

It would stand to reason that MQ would deem ASR techs as unneeded. I mean they spent so much money on this program to make us so much more productive and it just is not producing like it should- why in the world would they pay techs to actually fix the glitches that have been present since the beginning or have actual people like MT questions/comments to address the glitches we see on a daily basis. See no evil, hear no evil- if they pretend the problem doesn't exist then they don't have to fix it and they don't need techs anymore. They pay us the same no matter what so why would they try to help us? JMHO.

I just spoke with an MT at a large radiology group who says they use different softwares for different studies. So they have probably 5 different programs to try to merge into one cohesive patient record. I'm assuming the software vendors talk the clients into how much they'll save by paying editors to fix this crap. There is no way someone would buy into this software if they knew what it really looked like in draft form...omg. I have an opportunity to get a brand new MAC as a gift. My boyfriend has an extra one. I work on the BeyondText platform and remember seeing someone on here had a MAC but had a way to split it so her Windows programs ran on the MAC somehow. I have Word 2010 and that's what I use to work in but the autotext is awful. I used to be able to type my shortcut and it would automatically pop up when I pressed the spacebar but now with 2010 I have to hit enter which just slows me way down. Also they used to be able to be captilized or not depending on what I typed it in but now, whatever case I save it in is what it comes up as. It's just a pain and I am slowed way down.
