Sound only comes out left side - Sally

My speakers have a short where the headphones plug in and cut in and out. I emailed support and they told me they no longer send out speakers, to plug directly into the computer or buy my own speakers. When I do that I only get sound out of the left side, I cannot do my job with sound in one ear only. Does anybody have any solutions. I cannot afford to buy new speakers right now.

It is the connection on the computer where you plug in the speakers and you need a new computer!

I have M*Modal headsets, but I bought my own. - Better quality ones...

They were a bit expensive, but worth it. They are comfortable and drown out all background noise. The dictation is far more clearer and yes they do plug into my USB.

They were $30 but well worth it. I got them at Walmart and just keep the M*Modal ones as a spare.

They told me to plug the headphones into the speaker port. It comes out both sides of the headphones now, but I can barely hear the sound coming out even with the volume all of the way up. That is why I liked it through the speakers I could adjust the vvolume easily.

You can adjust sound/tone the same if you use USB - port.

is that when you are able to afford it, go out and buy yourself some really good headsets that plug directly into your USB port.

Every computer usually has 2 USB ports so the likelihood of both of them going out is slim. If you use the USB port for your headsets, then you can avoid using the speaker plug-in altogether.

Until then, not sure what else to tell you.

A stereo adapter might work - and they cost less than $5.00 usually. I had to do that till I got a new headset. Hope it works for you!

I plug directly into the computer. Try unplugging the cord and plugging it back in. My dogs were playing the other day and pulled the cord and pulled the headphones off my head. They had managed to pull the plug out part way from the computer- enough for sound but not enough for both ears and you couldn't tell from looking that it was part of the way out.

"PMR - Methotrexate – GI side effects, s/l pratenazone. Plaquenil 8/10-10/10 – nausea/vomiting. Prednisone restarted 10/10." I'm not sure if she's describing the GI side effects or if she's describing another type of side effect, or maybe a different medication they tried instead. I now work full time for an MTSO that does Nuance overflow and am relatively happy there. The problem is I need to work part time for several important reasons which I won't go into. Well to do so, I would have to accept a lower line rate (told thems the rules) and have to work fewer hours than I really need to (again told thems the rules). Hi, one side of my headphones quit working. Any ideas? - It is the same way no matter what I listen to so not the fault of transcription software. thx for any ideas. Sounds stupid, but I can't remember what they are now ... but I think Transcription Gear (sounds right).
