What gives with that ridiculous jargon in the training video? "Real-time doctor's list." Gimme a break. "Streamlining our job." Hooha. "Increasing our productivity." Come on now. We're not idiots, Q.
If that doctor's list was real time, it would be instantaneous. I know that they meant that we would get to see a doctor's name as soon as it was updated on their end, but to call it real time is a misnomer.
How are extra keystrokes really streamlining our job? I'll tell you how to streamline our job. Just let us type what the doctor says without having to be distracted away from the real meaning of their dictation by concentrating on all the scut work that only helps them improve their program. Distraction is dangerous to quality. If they REALLY intended to help us, they'd listen to our feedback, all of it, and make changes to help US.
And by the way, did anyone catch that part in the training that says "heading text is not included in the skip marker"? I have a hunch that our headings are not counted in the line count.
Lastly, I feel duped in that 6.1 was thrown at me without my knowledge on a new computer I was sent last month. I was confounded with so many new things but was never warned about them. I tried to tackle all these new changes for awhile before I contacted tech support, thinking I was doing something wrong making the computer act that way. Why didn't they tell me before I wasted so much of my time that it was a new program? That simply angered me. It also angered me when I mentioned it to my CCM. She ALSO knew about the new program, but were any of us warned about the new 6.1? If anything, it was mentioned on the side as one of our routine upgrades. It's anything but routine. The whole thing was handled very unprofessionally, IMO.
