for the month of November and I scored a 99.42. I wonder when I will hear about this...I have a feeling they are going to be tough on everything. Just fire me already...put me out of my misery! LOL

you'll be fine. i've always had a good audit, but i've already been informed that i had a critical error for forgetting to put in the date of service that will show up in my November audit. i never do that, so i guess once in many years they'll have to deal with. and since when did the date of service affect patient care? so stupid. this place just plain sucks.

I made a few stupid errors that should have been caught but my head is spinning with all these new accounts and bad dictators. I guess I am probably not the only one. They would probably have to fire half the staff! Lol

making 99.5 on my audit and then the next week they changed it back to 99.5, but I still got wrote up. It really is up to your manager who whatever they are called at the moment.

99.42 when errors count at .25, .50 and 1 point? Also, what do you mean by "wrote up?" Never heard of getting "wrote up" for one bad audit, especially 99.5, even when the requirement was briefly higher.

It was an "average" of 15 jobs so 99.42 is possible... - Debs

I was not the one that got written up for 99.50. I would be happy to have that score. I do think she was referring to when the standards were higher at 99.6 or at one point 99.75 (which was ridiculous).

find out what being wrote up is about. Three strikes and you are a goner too. They make you "sign" in Ultipro when you get wrote up for failing audits acknowledging that this is placed on your record. It is the first performance mgmt step.

Why I think they pounce on DOS errors... - bottomofpod

When I worked in-house and they were setting up the EHR, if we chose the wrong DOS from the ADT or didn't choose one at all, the report would either be floating around in cyberspace where the docs couldn't see it/sign it or it'd fall into the wrong case.

HOWEVER, I don't think this should be considered a CRITICAL error, for Pete's sake. Maybe a feedback thing. The facilities have their own IT departments to handle the EHR issues, let them find the g-d report and put it where it goes.

A CRITICAL error to me is when you can't tell if the doc is saying "6 or 8" units of Humalog or stumbling over 6 and 8 per meal so you blank it. Send it to QA and they put in 68 units per meal. Yeah, I'm diabetic and that would pretty much kill you unless your meal consisted of a box of Domino sugar, maybe 2 boxes.

So, yeah, DOS being a CRITICAL error? They can kiss my sugar-laden.

Working in-house, if we realized we had picked the wrong case #/DOS, we let the IT department know. They're solution? They "hid" the job that was in the incorrect case for that patient. "Hiding"...so technical. It's like they'd never heard of "delete." And, by deleting, I mean just removing it from the wrong case. The job would still be there, of course, it would just need to have the DOS/case # changed to the correct visit. UGH.

They made it sound like "hiding" a job was such a huge thing, like it'd take up their entire day or something. Jeesh.

Which is correct: "The patient is here for a 3-month followup visit." or "The patient is here for a 3 month followup visit." I was always told in this instance that it is without the hyphen becuase putting the hyphen in it will mean that the visit is 3 months long versus a visit at 3 months' time. Just received a job offer as an IC...the pay is pretty low at 0.575 cpl (increasing to 0.6 once off QA). Will probably accept this job as a 2nd part-time job...have another paying 0.07 cpl, but the owner doesn't pay on time and doesn't respond to my e-mails about it, either. Has anyone ever heard of having to pay $10 a month to the company for use of their server in order to download .wav files though? That seemed a little odd to me.
