I noticed that MQ keeps advertising for the same positions every few weeks or so. What's up with that? Can't they hold on to any help? Anyone have any insight on that? TIA

I used to notice that everytime the Q pulled one of their cuts that there would be a sudden influx of extra hours needed. Thinking you are absolutely correct. Wouldn't it be less expensive just keep the trained people they have rather than have to re-train every few months?

From my experience with MQ, they don't do much training, just put you out there on a very shaky limb and tell you to just go ahead, you won't have any problem. Spheris, whom MQ bought out, trained very thoroughly - I miss them so. Quit MQ and have been out of a job since February!

It's one of those places you work if nothing else is available. They only care about their Indian employees, which I have heard they treat very well. If you are a US worker, they do everything they can to make you miserable. They have not figured out that the employees are the ones that have made them so big and could care less about us. We are just an unwanted machine to them.

It sure seems that the companies that advertise for QA help who are paying "by the line" are requesting that you have rediculous requirements! Line rate and IC.....why dont they just include in their ads that they expect the world but are not willing to pay anything for it..... its the same meaning..... ...

I have been reading all of the posts especially the ones about grammar. Maybe I have not finished transcription school or even paid my dues as a seasoned "elder" (I hate that phrase--not being in my 20s myself), but I was one of the 70,000 that was laid off on black Monday back in January 2009.
