I keep getting NJA!!

Oh well, I hate it anyway. I don't like the numbering (can't get used to it and keep typing numbers the old way and then have to go back and fix it). I HATE the physician lookup now.

Lord please get me out of here soon!!!!!

I couldn't remember how to the 6.1 told us to and it's just easier to type them out. I didn't have a problem with it the first time. Did I just screw up?

cannot remember, Ctrl L or something but are we supposed to highlight first, or do you just enter after each item and then highlight and then Ctrl L...

If you are transcribing as opposed to editing - MT

you would just hit ctl+shift+L when you come to a part that needs to be numbered. If you are editing, it depends on what ASR produced; if it is a paragraph that needs to be separated and numbered, edit it by putting it in a list format without numbers, highlight and hit ctl+shift+L.

It probably does not matter if you do it the old way, except that it puts in the numbering system that the client wants on back-end formatting so as long as you are comfortable that you are not going to get busted for an incorrect numbering system, do as you please. Personally, because there are client changes that we hear about after the fact, I am going to do it the new way so there is no chance of error - I am following the guidelines and whatever they program it to do after the fact is not my problem.

Plus we get paid for the keystrokes the old way? - anon

if you use the new way you are not actually typing the numbers, just hitting enter which you would do anyway, so what are you losing?

As an MT, there's no chance of getting a raise or promotion, and so there's little incentive or motivation, especially being paid pennies per line. Yet, they expect you to participate in continuing education, which takes additional time and perhaps even money. What a joke. Hi, I really do concur with "Raining Pennies" that it is very important to read the posting guideines. Otherwise, if you inadvertently breach the guidelines, you will wind up getting banned. I did breech the posting guidelines and I did get banned, but I'm back for one more chance at staying within the "posting guidelines."
