How good/bad is Chartnet? - Moods

I've learned I'm going to be trained on Chartnet? How is it? Good/Bad? I really dread editing other's reports. When I had to do it years ago I sucked at it. I couldn't make any money. Has it changed? Is it easier editing reports now? Probably not. I could really use some feedback. I'll take all the info I can get, positive and/or negative. Thanks to anyone who responds. I really appreciate it.

I loved Chartnet when I used it. I had no issue with it. I started on VR about a month ago and only making half of what I used to. I still like straight typing better, but VR is here to stay I think. I just cannot get a good rhythm going with VR it seems even with the hotkeys and shortcuts. I do not consider a pro at VR since I just started, but many companies are using VR nowadays, but I needed a job.

ChartNet is great, but it is owned by Keystrokes. Is this an MM account? - Curious

Keystrokes bought ChartNet a few years ago and they still own it. I checked with CSS before I wrote this. Are there M*Modal accounts on ChartNet? I work for MM part time, would love a CN account.

I'm dreading doing VR because I sucked at years ago when I had to do some for MedQuist. I can't afford my pay to be cut in half as I'm barely making ends meet now. I'm going to have to find a part time job to cover my rear until I can get used to it. I'm getting too old to work 2 jobs again but what can you do??? Suck it up I guess.

I have been using ChartNet for a few weeks now. My training was really brief, so I still have a lot to learn. With the way we do the headers (cnt-N) and subheaders (cnt-shift-N), there doesn't seem to be any way to paste large sections into the report to include headers and/or subheaders. I did that a lot in DocQscribe, and it sure did help my line count not to mention my hands and wrists when I could copy and paste large sections into certain reports, especially with things like card ...

Why is it that every time Chartnet has an update, things end up worse than before? Stuff that used to work doesn't work right anymore. And it doesn't accept 1-letter abbreviations. My biggest peeve with this is that I have to manually capitalize the word "I" and I didn't have to do that before. So annoying. When something works, don't fix it. Once in a while I mistakingly save a file before the voice file is done. I put in my first password in and then it tells me the voice file was not finished and all I can do is answer "OK" in the box. What I want to know if there is a way to go back and finish the file? The only thing I can do is split the file as if there was a separate dictation on the same voice file. I have recently started on ChartNet. I read reviews, which are mostly positive, and my question is why? I find it cumbersome with all the headings you have to make with the control/shift keys and entering, starting new headers, etc. Not very fluid at all (for me anyway). I am currently working for a company that uses Chartnet/M*Modal Editor and have had so many problems with my foot pedal working and a lot of other problems also.
