Does deleting 1, 2 or 3 words now generate - a skip marker? nm

No - that is the beauty of this new skip marker - Huh?

And clearly the point over which the posters below are freaking are totally missing.

Now, as you are editing, if you highlight text that does not belong and it is 5 or more, then press delete (which is what the video AND the manual both say), it AUTOMATICALLY places a skip marker, and if 4 or less it simply deletes the text. Which makes this EASIER because you don't have to count words or even remember to put a skip marker because it does it for you.

Of course, this must be some evil plot to steal money from me and I just don't get it yet.

And it does it automatically. Ignore the hysteria and look at the manual or try it yourself.

It works for me. five or more + delete equals a skip marker. If your spell check is underlinging misspelled words,then you know you have 6.1 for sure. The only thing I haven't seen in the new version is the header stuff over to the left sidebar. not worried about it, though, b/c i wasn't planning on using it anyway. Also, if you can do the Ctrl+Shift+L for numbering, you know you downloaded 6.1.

It didn't leave a skip marker, just deleted. I hope I downloaded 6.1 correctly. I thought I did. Anyone know how to verify what version you are working with?

That would actually be a great thing and I would have to take back what I said about the upgrade before!

I would like to be entered into the drawing, however, I cannot get instructions on how to download 6.1.

If I don't get the instructions, then I am not entered.

Why would they make us do this by midnight on a holiday if the CCMs are not working????

You have to use the delete key, if you just highlight and hit enter it will not leave a skip marker

When doing VR, which of course is 98% of the time, I keep my hands at the bottom of the keyboard, left hand near Cntl, right hand hovering over the arrow keys. Since there is a lot of deleting to do, you have to reach up to the top right corner of the laptop to press delete. Of course I always have to look to make sure I don't accidentally hit insert. It's so annoying. Is there an easier way that I'm not thinking of? Any suggestions would be SOOOO app ...
