Do I have to install Benchmark on my computer? - anyone?

I know we have to install and whatever, and there are all of these steps, and I really do not want anything else on this old MQ computer to slow it down more. I am pretty content with the sites I go to and really don't want to learn another program. Besides, I do think that they will start charging us after January and I certainly am not paying for something when I can get answers free. This is just one more thing to do and we probably won't even make it through the year, so why bother?

Anyone else feeling the same or are you all excited about it? I wish I could be, but I am just worn out.

I opted for the Benchmark as part of the "settlement". It totally bogged my computer down to freeze points at times. As a long time MT, I did not find it in any way helpful... I took it off my computer. Did we get something that said we HAVE to download it? Just like Kaspersky that my ISP is not that compatible with, it totally slows me down...

How is your ISP not compatible with Kaspersky? - CA-MT

Does it slow you down? I haven't noticed anything after I changed to Kaspersky on my computer, but McAfee really slowed my computer down with its updates.

Very strange I know. I was told 2 weeks ago to take off the McAfee. I did, and then my computer once again crashed with yet again another trojan. Waited 3-1/2 days for new one. but, let's not go into those details. Anyway, found out that Charter had installed their Security stuff too, and both programs clashed. Now with my new MQ computer I absolutely told Charter DO NOT install your Security. so far, so good; but still bogging down on looking up old reports. I just am not going to use them I guess.

I can't even get 6.1 installed correctly. I attempted to download, got an error message to call support which I did. Support called me back rather promptly. The tech worked on my machine for 30 minutes cause he couldn't get it to download either. He then pronounced it ready to go. your Win7, 64-bit computer to run DQS, if you enter your COA from your old computer's WinXP, will it cause you to not be able to use your old computer's WinXP anymore? I'm assuming you're only supposed to use the Win XP COA on one computer, or does it not matter on the VMWare? ...

I'm not sure, but it seems to me that this whole issue came around about a year ago, telling us we must install it, and upon looking into it, it was my impression that it would allow MM to track everywhere we go on our computers, so I didn't install it. Hi. I've just started working with ichart. I have a 9-pin foot pedal that works great with Express Scribe, but I just can't seem to connect it to TransNet. In the Options on Express Scribe, I enabled it easily, but TransNet doesn't seem to have any controller options on its menu. Back from vacation. Logged into the new 7 version - would not work. Tried a few times. Called Support. 1-1/2 hours - no luck - they will contact Advanced Support. Will try again tomorrow. Medquist is very close to signing up for yet another year of Benchmark. So very few people use it and the corporate people are trying to find out why. Seriously. I wonder if they will listen this year when we tell them that we don't want it, don't use it and it is a colossal waste of money. It is telling me unathorized and use correct form. Using ADP # and password Medquist, but not working. I am able to log into Benchmark KB with my ID and password from the settlement, but there is no drug reference and stedmans on that one. Please let me know if anyone can help.
