I'm sorry, but there's a thread below where someone is calling out the user "SM". LMAO!
SM MEANS: short message, small message, or see message. Pick whichever you prefer.
It's been used on message boards practically since Al Gore invented the internet! (lol)
I was told it meant "see message", while others have been told it's is one of the other 2 meanings. However, the overall meaning is the same. It means "Hey, there's a message inside, so please read it!"
NM means: NO MESSAGE! It's telling people, "hey! I didn't write anything inside so don't bother clicking on it!"
If you are one of the 98% of people who already know this, please don't post a bunch of insults since this is not directed at you. I'm putting this up for the 2% who ask this question on a weekly basis, or who make nasty threads addressed to "SM" who verbally attacked them!
Now that I think about it, we need a sticky thread with this information because no doubt it will keep happening.
