Getting paid piecemeal for typing medical reports is ludicrous! Getting paid minimum wage for typing medical reports is RIDICULOUS! Pressuring people to meet a certain quota and threatening them when they don't make that quota is BULLYING. Seems like nowadays it is all about the ALMIGHTY DOLLAR even with medical transcription! I used to take a lot of pride in my work. I even enjoyed the challenge of catching on to the difficult dictators! I never cherry picked....took the good with the bad. I think this atmosphere today fosters that kind of behavior and makes it easier to make a mistake because so many of us depend on this job to survive. Can't blame people/organizations for wanting to save money, but at what cost?

Sad part is, some of us make LESS than minimum wage - Depressed

This work used to be interesting and I loved getting up every morning and couldn't wake to start working. Nowww,, I struggle to get started every day. I have been looking for something outside the home actually, only part-time.. but at my age and 'lack of experience' I can find nothing but check out lady at local grocer.. ugh! and that's a fight with all these youngins' out there who can do more than I can physically. Just sad all around.

I have now been collecting unemployment for 16 months. I am lucky in that just last year I began collecting my Social Security.
