Everything seems strange at this company anymore. Not a lot of emails from accountcare regarding updates on accounts, nor do you get an email from your supe regarding anything much at all. Everyone is being so hush-hush, it seems. Also, one of the QA's sent an email this morning saying today is her last day. Wonder why?? The work on accounts is still very sporadic. This past Friday, there was hardly any work at all, even after 8p, and most of the time Fri-Sun are the "feast" days! Kinda scary! I do wished they would communicate like they used to with us when they were TT. Can't seem to get a secondary account, and I have asked for more than 2 months now. I think there is a lot going on behind closed doors that no one is talking about. I pray daily for all of us to find a better paying job, wherever that may be! God knows I sure need one, as I am very weary with all this shadiness and financial bind this career has had us all in for sooooo very long! Happy Mother's Day to you mothers out there! I got a new manager with the loss of my primary account, and I have yet to have a conversation with her. I've gone from getting inspirational emails on a daily basis from my old manager to virtually nothing at all from the new one. I gave up a long time ago on trying to get a secondary account, so I don't even ask anymore. I work when I have work and have applied for partial unemployment to supplement my income until I find something else worth jumping into. I see we're having a "town hall meeting" on Wednesday... Wonder what that is supposed to accomplish. Maybe I'll attend just to see what other "improvements" (besides compensation, of course, since that's never on the table) they're talking about making!

I suppose our work is incognito to India....LOL I thought we were working for pennies, but those poor people REALLY work for pennies!
I contacted the unemployment office - in my state

I file as if I'm applying for unemployment, but they asked questions about whether I still work for the employer on a part time basis and questions related to unemployment/underemployment. I live in NJ. I don't know if every state offers the same thing, but it's worth checking out until you find something new. I've been waiting for a "Sayonara" too, but so far nothing, and I agree about the working for pennies.

[ In Reply To ..]That'll happen if you clock in at the beginning of your shift and don't clock out again until the end of it. IOW, let's say you're scheduled to work from 7 a.m to 4 p.m. You clock in at 7 a.m., out at 11 a.m. for lunch, back in at noon, and clock out at 4 p.m. during those hours the work comes in sporadically and you complete 200 non-speech and 700 speech lines. Now the math:
250 x 0.08 = $16.00
700 x 0.045 = $31.50
$16.00 + $31.50 / 7 hours = $6.79
HOWEVER, that's also illegal. I posted the information a while back, I believe April or March. If you're an employee you're also supposed to be paid for "down time" at minimum wage. If the work is not available, that doesn't change anything. So, if you are available for work your shift (7 full hours), then the math should be:
$7.25 x 7 = $50.75
That's the MINIMUM you're supposed to be paid for that day. If there's no work available for the day, that's the least the company has to pay you.
That's the reason they want you to clock in and out ONLY when there's work available. So they don't have to pay for "down time," because their clients are not paying them if there's no production.
Another thing ... with clocking in and out constantly, it can have a direct impact on the amount you receive for PTO. Rather than minimum wage, you might be averaging $12.32/hour by clocking in/out with the availability of work, so that's the rate you'll get paid for holiday/sick/vacation pay.
I've known this since I clarified everything with the Labor Dept. I choose not to say anything to the company because I'll find that there's no longer any work for me.

I've already spoken with a few of the higher ups and a supe and it just doesn't look too good for iMedX.......and that includes those of us who are working for them! When you say it doesn't look too good for Imedx, do you mean they are tanking as a company (which I believe is a strong possibility because my opinion is that idiots run the company), or do you mean it is not looking too good for the US MTs/account managers because of their ultimate plan to have everything done in India? You seem to have some inside info, and Imedx has been so deceptive and hush-hush, I just want as much info as I can have. :)

I sent my resume to Iridium (I regret doing that) and they sent me a test to take through Word and some transcribing. I noticed that the doctor clearly said a patient's name in one of the recordings! I thought it was a fictitious name, but I then received an e-mail asking me to sign a confidentiality form due to the patient info in the dictations. I think it's terrible that they didn't take this person's name out. Something seems odd about this company ...

Every site having to do with MQ is as slow as molasses. Other Internet sites whiz along. Trying to check MQ E-mail, clock in, etc. is always a draaaaaaaaggggg. Is it their equipment or poor IT I wonder? Either way, once again makes you wonder about their accuracy on any of our numbers. Does their software "catch" everything or are some of my lines are flying past while it is dragging like a snail? ...

Jan 2, which is from last pay period. I failed at 97 something percent. I had 2 other reports from last pay period that were 100%. So of course (luckily) the audit they did today won't count for that week--for one thing I already approved my pay statement and it did show that I had 100% QA.
