I have still not received my W2 for TT for payroll processed through Paychex and am wondering if anyone if anyone else is still waiting for this W2. I sent an email to DG and was told that she didn't have any information on those W2s. I called Paychex and was told that the employer has to request that information from them and that the employee cannot request it. Paychex said that it is the responsibility of the employer to get the W2 out and that the only other thing I can do is to call IRS and request a W2 subsequent form and then IRS will penalize the employer for not sending the W2. Has anyone else had this experience? Any info is greatly appreciated.
I used the last paycheck we got from Paychex (March 24, 2014). That's really all you need unless you had other things being taken out that were pre-tax. I used the YTD totals because I had no other items that were being deducted at that time (i.e. medical, FSA, etc.). If you weren't in the habit of downloading your paycheck stubs to your PC and saving them (and why the heck not?), then you will have to go through the IRS.
However, even if you do have all your stubs and can file that way, I would still screw TTMS to the wall and report them to the IRS (and I personally would specifically mention DG too, just because she's being such a B). The first day you could start reporting missing W2s, 1099s, etc., was February 15 - so you can definitely do it now. DG just doesn't want to help you with the W2 thing. She doesn't want to do anything that requires any effort on her part. Worst. Supervisor. Ever.
