HHJJ later stated she originally posted only for help with shortcuts. Her original post was filled with kudos for this company and bottom line was to generate all positives for this company and naming them outright and slamming giving up on transcription, but now a miracle has happened and to heck with those who are still suffering. I smell a rat. Smart MTs on this board and I'd believe them first. Call it what you will but those who have been through the deception already are just giving a warning. No career in this field either. If you think you will stay happy...retirement pay won't be great either...sooner or later you will see reality.

There are issues with every field out there. I am happy to say I do like the company. Once again WHAT WORKS FOR ME IS FOR ME. I don't understand why some people just don't get it. I am truly sorry for all of you who struggle with whatever company you are with. I have been there, several times. The grass isn't always greener elsewhere. That said, in my first week, I've made way more than my current job. I will always have more than one job. I learned that a long time ago doing MT. For those of you who want to judge when you don't even know me, well I really truly hope something happens in your life so that you are less miserable and hateful than what you are. I have never come on here and been so demeaning to anybody. We're all just trying to get by and what doesn't work for one person, might work for another. Sorry for those who are truly struggling and were very nice, especially those who took the time to email me. I appreciate it. To those who can do nothing but be hateful and rude, I still wish you a great future. Just leave me out of it. I'm out of high school and don't need the drama.

According to the job posting this company is based in San Francisco. The stated pay rate averages $241.00 per month. If I were this company, I would embarrassed to advertise the pathetic pay they give their MTs in one of the most expensive cities in the country. Concerned about the posting from the Midwestern MT who said she had work to be done from TransTech and here we all are sitting and checking and no work. Wondering now about this new SWAT team thing. From what I was told that the 'beast of the business' is they worry about TAT because they have to take a cut in their portion of the line count wages, so they'd rather meet the TAT? Became even more excited when I read that it was owned by a former transcriptionist and then it hit, pay will start at 7-8 CPL, depending upon experience and oh, hey, all of our transcriptionists are ICs. I want to share my comments about DIRTY POSTs on MTStars. I was just informed about such post about Ascend Healthcare. I have worked for this company since 2000. Some honest clarification would help. Their MT rates are $0.075 [750 lines per shift], $0.085 per lines [1,000 lines per shift] and $0.12 per line for very special MTs. They pay $0.04/$0.06 per line for editing. They pay $0.8 per RAD VR report editing and $0.035 for VR transcription. Their hourly rates are in the range of $10 - $14. ...
