RecordsOne: What do you think now? - OTIer

I just wanted to take the pulse of my coworkers from OTI, now RecordsOne. I am happy as can be. I have plenty of work. Anyone else having pleasant results? I certainly am glad I stayed. The sisters are great.

I have not gotten anymore work. You are sure lucky. I only have one account and get very little work from it.

Long time ago when they lost an account, they gave my work to others causing me to have to retire early. I just felt somewhere along the line they would make this right with me, taking my best work and giving it to those who had none. I wonder if any of them are still working even.

I just wish I could be on that side. I am working so hard for so little and just getting really lousy dictations and small pieces.

Oh, well. I guess maybe I should retire but then I would have to move. My health won't stay good long though with all of this stress. I am already having lots of health issues that I already have and having to have more tests for new ones. Ugh.

Glad for you, but please don't brag when some of us having nothing yet.

Work level at One - unhappy

No I am retired except for working between the two companies now.

Considering completely retiring. Too much stress on one account often doing a particular account alone seemingly and getting stuck on same dictation, progress notes which I know are keeping the other dictation that is more important from coming up to me on that account. Hardly any work on One's side.

So, it is hard to decide what to do since if I do finally retire completely, then I will have to move into substandard housing. I hate that.

Who are the "sisters?" - Good Vibrations

Hey all - yeah, I sort of piggy-backed an account and now with R-One. They seem to run a smooth-sailing ship and I have absolutely no complaints whatsoever.

Could someone explain to me what the "sisters" are. Actual sisters or a sister company?

Unhappy, I feel so bad for you. I know how it is and just how damn rocky the boat can get in this profession. I am sending positive thoughts your way and wish I could do something to help.

I wish there was a board here strictly dedicated to all the steps some of us are taking to transition our career in new directions. I really admire the ones who are going out there and making a change. I'm working on it, but it's not as easy as I thought.

Oracle. I don't remember the other one's name, but the initial to the one I spoke with most is "I" they are very nice ladies.

Well I'll be darn. Yes, "L" is very nice, too. I did not know RO was a family business. Good for them. Working with relatives never worked for me. Ask my husband how many times he had to fire me when I worked with him! Especially when I was pregnant!! :) :)

I don't do family owned businesses either, but "I" and "L" would be an exception. They are not like some companies where the nieces, nephews, in-laws, plumber and best friends etc. all have administrative positions.

Thanks for the good wishes. I just wish I were there now. I always liked it and I have worked for a long, long time for the sisters.

Apparently I am probably with one of the "sister" companies in this transition. Like you guys, I am trying to weigh out my options here. I'm reading the comments about the offer from Mercedes. Does anyone know if RecordsOne is offering pretty much the same offer? I feel like if the "sister" company keeps me onboard, to go on the other accounts they have, are they really able to "absorb" another MT. Has anyone else with RecordsOne had practically NO work since 10/1? Realizing that half of the accounts went with MTI on that date, I suspect the remaining accounts with RO must be getting spread out among the MTs who stayed with RO and lost their accounts to MTI. It will probably take months for RO to build up their account base again..... time to look for another company to work for. ...

The problem I'm having is that in Bayscribe under the Reports Summary tab (not the Review tab), I no longer have the Review link next to the patient names. Previously, I was able to go to Reports Summary, to a transcribed report, and click on the word Review next to patient name - and that report then opened as a Bayscribe report where I could see what I typed but could click on the audio link to relisten. What happens now is that there is no review link next to the patient name ...

Looking at their home page, they seem to be promoting VR as well. My memory is that Landmark has a (relatively) good reputation. I don't particularly recognize their other transcription partner, DB Transcription. They also have a coding partner. http://www.recordsone.com/partners/ Thoughts anyone?
