If you are working today for Keystrokes, is it holiday pay or regular--I'm assuming it's holiday but I'm not sure. Anyone know?. TIA.

No holiday pay today for KS. - Just regular pay.

I don't know of any MTSO or hospital that pays holiday pay for today. The list is inside of KS - LongTimeMt

I don't work for an MTSO but on site for a local employer. None of our health care facilities observe Veterans Day as a holiday, it's basically the federal and state offices and school districts who have a holiday today.

Sorry "LongTimeMT" don't know where you got your information on KS and what holidays they actually pay for, but you can scratch Thanksgiving off that list! We've just been told this morning there is NO HOLIDAY pay for Thanksgiving and you can work on Saturday if you want to make up that time! Really? Gosh, I thought Thanksgiving was a national holiday for everyone! Obviously not for KS! Anyway they can cheat their MTs and save a little money seems to be the name of the game for KS! What a great company they are!! Just another reason I will be leaving as soon as I can find another job!

Yes, Marilyn that is true - I am glad you are getting out of there so you can have real happiness and sanity. The owner is in over her financial head so now everybody is paying the price! I left and you can too!

I am also finally getting out of KS. I need to get off this sinking ship. It's sinking faster and faster each week. I completely agree that they are way in over their heads financially. They have cut our pay multiple times, pay has been late several times, benefits are basically nonexistent, and it's almost impossible to earn any PTO now. I've been wanting to leave for a while now, but I was afraid of going out of the frying pan and into the fire with another company, but I got lucky and found another company that will be a great fit for me, so I'm finally leaving. I honestly don't think KS is going to be around in another year or so with the way things are going. People are leaving in droves and they are losing accounts left and right.

Talked to a few MTs today about Thanksgiving at KS - they have not gotten word yet about Thanksgiving pay - I wonder if it depends on what account you are on?

KS does NOT pay holdiay pay if the account(s) you work on are closed, so if you have no work, you are forced to take the day off and make it up on Saturday! And yes, this was sent out several times today from upper management and supervisors, so it is true!

It most definitely depends on what account(s) you are on. If any of your accounts are not working on Thanksgiving then you are off and have to make up the time on Saturday if you choose to do so. If you work on Thanksgiving you will get holiday pay, but no day off for the holiday.

Well yes, that makes sense. I cannot think of ANY company - where you are paid by production - that would pay you to have the day off. Paid holidays are only paid if you are working. Nothing wrong with that.

and QA dings me for one. Unbelievable. That's what it averages for 1400 lines a day full-time. Even with 3 cups of coffee and an office chair seat belt, it's no easy feat. Ninety-thousand keystrokes PER DAY. That's not including the ADT, the Internet look-ups, etc. Throw me a bone here, QA. How many keystrokes to you do, PERFECTLY?? ...

How is it? The trainer says it is one of the easiest platforms to learn on if you've never done it. Said the threshold is set high at like 85% (not sure what that means) and it proves to be very lucrative for some. Anyone have any experience with it they could share?
