How is VR going with Dolbey Fusion - at Synernet
Posted: Apr 14, 2014
Is the software learning the docs. Is the VR side as user friendly as the straight transcription on Fusion?

I don't work for Synernet but my experience with Dolbey Fusion VR sucks. The doctors I do are not trained so it is a bunch words that have to be formatted. I started with the same facility about 9 years ago with this program and "it is still in training." The docs do not even know they are on VR so needless to say, lots of corrections over and over and over!! Can you tell I don't like it???
I personally love the platform, but I have yet - synmt

to do VR on it. I have heard good things, though.
Sigh. Guess I will stop posting how GOOD this - sm

company is. Every time I do, the SAME person (troll) posts a dislike. If you hate it there that much, QUIT ALREADY!
You mean, like you dislike anything that is not warm and fuzzy about the company? nm - hmm

but I do have a question myself...
Someone from another company (on 4/11) was stating that their employer's VR was fabulous and that they were easily getting 250 LPH. My question is this: I can do 250/hour with straight typing. Oftentimes I'm transcribing (with good dictators) at 1:1 (1 minute dictation takes 1 minute to transcribe). No matter how good Fusion is, even if it produces perfect documents from the get-go, how will it be possible to make up for the loss of income? Do I have to crank up the speed to maximum in order to fly through the document twice as fast? The thought of doing this makes me physically ill. Human beings aren't made to operate this way, IMO.
Sorry if this seems like a stupid question, but I just can't seem to do the math on this. Apparently VR promises to do the work twice as fast as an MT (hence the ~50% cut in pay), but how is it possible that a 1 minute dictation can be edited/corrected/reformatted in 30 seconds?
I think VR can put it on the screen twice as fast, IF (sm) - Rose

The dictator is good, the VR is trained in many phrases. However, just putting the words on the screen is only a small portion of what we do to ensure an accurate medical record and I have never been able to do that in half the time I could transcribe it. At best I can do it in 75% the time it takes to transcribe.
Unfortunately I think the VR pirates have fooled these facilities into thinking that what appears on screen is the end result. I've seen these presentations and they put the words up so fast no one has time to see all the errors before the salesman flips to the next screen after saying OK, that report is done, on to the next. The buyers were oblivious to all the blatant errors in these drafts because there is no way a salesman is going to leave what was produced up on the screen long enough to be proofed and edited. The facilities are fools to believe these sales pitches because the buyers are not the end users.
Since Synernet frowns on posting on social media and only sm - A Synernet MT

a handful of MTs received VR training, it would be perhaps unwise for anyone to comment who has used Dolbey Fusion VR at Synernet as it would not be too difficult to figure out who was posting.
