A community of 30,000 US Transcriptionist serving Medical Transcription Industry
I need some help deciding what to do and wonder if you could offer your thoughts.
I currently work for one company as an IC that will be switching everything over to ASR and cutting my line rate down to 4 cpl because "this is the industry standard."
But, I have another company that I recently sent a resume to, which also offered me 4 cpl for ASR, but this company would be an employee position with benefits (medical, dental, PTO, etc).
I really do like my old company, but for only 4 cpl on ASR, it seems to me that it would probably be better for me to take the employee position as opposed to keeping the IC position.
What would you do in my situation? Same pay, but take the new one with benefits or keep the old one without benefits?
