Transcription South QA position - horrible HR
[ In Reply To ..]
I have not been hired, but I found applying for the position less than enjoyable. I have to say I was very unhappy with their HR. I tried to contact several times, either did not receive a response at all or a snappy reply. If that is how they treat prospective employees, I can't imagine it would be a great place to work if they don't even try to leave a good first impression.
I was sent a link to test for the position, took the test which took HOURS (the longest I have taken for any company) and they don't even have the courtesy to respond when you try to followup.
My guess is they are bad news. I don't know if you had the same experience. If so, maybe they did us both a favor by ignoring us.
I had the same - experience with application

I took their very lengthy test for the QA position, which took many, many more hours than I have ever spent testing for any company. They claimed because you were applying for QA you had to take all their tests (acute care, pathology, radiology, cardiology, etc.). Then they don't even have the professionalism to keep you informed regarding the opening, and when I inquired as a followup I was told they got a lot of applicants and it would take a long time to go through everything.
I was very sorry I took that much time to test for them. I would have assumed they they would not ask a person to take such extensive testing unless they were a serious candidate for the position based on other factors like resume, experience, etc. They at least should let anyone who took such a large amount of time to test what their results were, and keep them in the loop about the position.
I realize I was the fool who submitted to such extensive testing. Will never, ever do that again!
I have done a search and really no recent information on this company..am thinking about applying with them - anyone have any information good/bad/indifferent they can offer, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! ...
Does anyone know the pay scale or QA hourly rate...I was going to test but considering for QA you have to take 5 different tests with probably 3-4 reports each, I was kinda wondering what the pay scale was before doing all the testing?
Anyone with any info would be greatly appreciated - thank you very much! ...
Have any of you heard of Transcription South and any feedback on them as a company? Also they pay 1.15 for 1000 characters with 425,000 characters for pay period part-time. What is that all about and what does it equal to? Thanks ...
Okay Folks, Just applied there. Give me the Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Continually running out of work where I'm at (sound familiar) and I am hoping they will be busier. ...
Any current MTs working for or any previous MTs who have worked with Transcription Solutions of South Carolina? I have submitted my resume for their recent job opening post. Just wondering about the company. All I can find in the archives is old, from 2007. Just wondering general things. Do they pay on time? Have plenty of work? Good company to work for? ANY information is greatly appreciated. ...
Hi, I was wondering if anyone had any new and updated info on Transcription South, Inc. in Clearwater, Florida. I was doing a little research before I interview with them. Anyone worked with them before? ...
Any MT's out there who have recently been hired by Landmark TS in Pennsylvania to transcribe for its new account? If so, what have you experienced so far in terms of management, type of work, etc.?
As a recent new hire, I've found there exists a handful of dictators who consistently turn out muffled, tinny audio and/or speech that is all but incomprehensible.
Yet, when I have pointed this out to the supervisor, she insists that I am alone in this complaint as QA seems to have n ...
Accepted a job, gave 2 weeks notice, and yesterday was my first day. I was to be helping out transcription (1000 jobs behind), and then sitting with billing and training with coding as their coder will be out on maternity leave in December. The office is adding another surgeon, and they are rapidly expanding. So I gave a proper 2 weeks' notice to my former employer (2 hours on the road there and back, low salary - now less than half distance and $3 more an hour) and starte ...
Does anyone have any idea what is going on with the South region? Why so much work all of a sudden? Lots of late jobs and OT approved. Just wondering. ...
Or is it just me ???
And a question, if there is no work during my regularly scheduled hours, I don't HAVE to make up this time later do I -- I can just eat it right and go without ?? (am PT) ...
Been having NJA for the past 2-3 days which hasn't happened in a very long time (since April of last year). Haven't been able to work full shift. Supervisor sent email last night about 3 new accounts starting today, calling it "Good News!" but still NJA. What the heck is going on? ...
I don't remember what it was like to go a whole week, let alone a whole pay period without running out of jobs and having to spend nights and weekends to make it up while trying to plow through 10 different CPs to do so. Arrggghhhh. Is there an end in sight? Just needed to rant a little. ...
Never seen it this bad. Looked in the backlog and only a quarter of the usual amount are working. People probably quitting. I wonder why MModal has such a hard time keeping employees. ...
Is anyone else having problems getting work in the South region? It seems since Memorial Day it has been slow. Every morning there is no work and even in the evening there is no work. Where is it? ...
Ask your CCM tonight to temporarily help out in the South if you are NJA. I hate to draw people to my accounts and risk running out of work, but considering these accounts are going to go late in a couple of hours and they have already threatened to leave if TATs aren't met, it's worth the risk. I just wonder who the bonehead is who handles workflow. I wouldn't think it would be that hard to look at the statistics and move some NJA people to fill in some gaps.&nb ...
I am wondering if the MTs working in the North region, which was recently pooled into one big region from what I understand, are getting enough work. I know if they are doing it in the North, there is a strong probability they will do it in the South, so just wondering if its a good thing or a bad thing in your opinion to pull work from a centralized work pool. Aside from the fact that working on multiple accounts can be a pain in the a** since all want different things. All an ...
Here I sit twiddling my thumbs because I can't work my regular schedule. When I signed on today, the audio was so low I could barely hear it. Muddled through the first report, straining. Second report comes up...same thing. Tried everything I could think of to no avail, unplugging speakers, turning off and on, etc, rebooting. Called Tech. They identified no problem. Said to send to QA so perhaps they could??? No reply from CCM (more than likely because she's bombarded with emails from ...
