Checked it out - yeah it looks like they are doing pretty good - I wonder why?? Just maybe it has to do with limiting work so as to force peoples hours to decrease in return limiting their abilities to work to their full potential and lose benefits. Without paying benefits they save a lot of money in that itself. Maybe it has to do with them getting tax breaks by outsourcing and paying MTs in another country less money, with that said obviously they are going to prosper, or getting a $5000 tax break for every new employee they hire, resulting in overstaffing and not enough work to go around. All I do know is that since my transition after a merge last year my wages have steadily deterioated and I have made about $10,000 less than I did last year. I guess all I can do at this point is grin every time I get an unemployment check and count my blessings for that, anything is better than nothing and that is not too shabby - amounts to almost $10 an hour, but still quite a cut considering when I had work available to me I was making anywhere from $13 to $16 an hour in a 40-hour work week. I guess they will lose in the long run when a lot of good employees move on elsewhere sooner or later, but as we all know we are all replaceable (India, etc). Maybe that is what their main goal is.

I did notice that - like I said - they only say what they want people to hear or know. It should state how they sell the MTs off.

I just tallied up what I made this week - under $100. Not bad for a 40-hour week would you say. Had absolutely NO jobs available to me for 2 days. I just cannot wait until some comes my way besides an unemplloyment check. It is pretty pathetic when you make yourself available for your schedule and more and then you finally have to come to the conclusion the jobs just are not going to appear, as they have gone elsewhere. Are there any other Transcend MTs out here? I have been running out of work more lately and my supervisor just tells me to come back on later ...... shouldn't we get out of work pay if we are scheduled to work and there is no work? Do you know if we can work for Transcend as contractors rather than as an employee so we can have more flexibility? I am at my wits end here and just don't know what to do. ...

I am wondering about the webclock I heard Nuance uses. Are they crazy strict about sticking to your shift and clocking out for everything? I like the flexibility Transcend offers with regard to family stuff. If I have to go pick up my kid or go to the school or doctor, they are cool with it and let me flex.
