Does anyone use EMDAT or have in the past? - gintex

Does anyone use EMDAT or have in the past?  What do you think about it?  Thanks for any information.

is this for Lee Perfect? - MT_nm

I think Emdat is ok

basically a word-based platform. When you click the "W" icon in the menu, it opens the word in EMDAT itself. All your auto correct entries will work and your word expanders should work fine too.

EMDAT is available to download for all with training audio to get accustomed with the platform. What about others - ExText, Bayscribe, DocQscribe, Editscript, etc.? Is there any way to learn these like EMDAT?

What on earth for are they hiring more? - Never Enough Work

They are constantly overstaffing. Do you really want to work for those people?

Yes, it is for Lee. But I did notice she has a lot of negativity on her company. Do you, or have you worked for her? Supposedly she got this huge new account. Any information you can give me would be helpful. Thanks.

I worked for them, never got out of "training" mode, even though they stated it would only be for 5 days. Since I was training, I was not getting paid the full pay rate. So I was working for 5+ days for a very low wage. I finally figured out they "probably" wanted me to work at a low wage to catch them up or just do their work practically for free. I also never got paid. I never had any negative feedback from them but also never got off training mode and therefore I quit them and will never make that mistake again.
TO MANY NOT PAYING MTS (LeePerfect geez) - .

MTs should not just let it go and accept no payment, take to small claims court, it is simple, only costs for the filing fee, about $30 here in california and keep your paper work as proof you worked, no pay. It may not even get to that point if you offer your thoughts on the matter and by such and such date if I do not hear back.

They will be bugging you to constantly be checking for work all the time. they say it is up to you when you work but then they just nag at you to ALWAYS be checking. there is often not enough but they want you on it the second it is there - no matter what.

Yes, it is. Do you have any information on her company? Thanks!

I love the Emdat system. I do mostly surgical work. I have found it to be very MT-friendly and easy to learn.

Copy and paste feature in EMDAT - Blueyes

Can you copy and paste from other windows into EMDAT?? Someone a long time ago had said you could not, and so was wondering if this is something they fixed or if maybe that person was just not real familiar with their program. That would be a necessary feature for me to have. Thanks in advance.

Copy and paste feature in EMDAT - EmdatHD

You can, but to make sure you don't bring in any excess code that can cause issues with the transcription, paste it into notepad in windows. Then copy and paste it into Emdat. It's an extra step, but it will allow you to do that safely and notepad will strip out any extra coding that can cause issues.

From What I Seen When Looking Up Past Docs In DQM
May 14, 2011

People are not doing a full listen/correction. There are some pretty blatant errors, and these errors are being repeated by subsequently dictating physicians who are obviously using other documents for information (as it should be). Blatant errors such as allergy to medications that don't even exit, blatant lab errors that are counter to some of the diagnoses. I shamefully admit to not doing a full listen when I first started voice recognition was back in the beginning, but quickly noted ...

Blast From The Past. Sm
Jan 08, 2015

I was purging papers and came across an earnings statement from TL in 2001 (yeah, I know, way overdue on cleaning out files). Back then, my base pay was 0.0925 and the 2-week pay after taxes, insurance, 401K was $1100. In comparison, today my base pay pretty much is 0.035 for VR and 0.07 for straight. It is possible to make a higher rate at Nuance, but it is not easy, so I do not expect it. My last take-home pay prior to the holidays was less than $600. Also, my TL line count was 3000 higher for ...

MTs And Unions, And Past Mistakes:
Nov 23, 2010

Same Situation, Past Coder
