This is a serious question, so I really hope you will answer it and not just ignore this request.
I am one of those mathematically challenged people. I have seen ads before where the pay is per audio minute or hour, and I could never figure out how that compared to cents per line, so I usually give up and do not apply.
Now I see you have actually done the math, and I was wondering if you could explain how you did it. Please be gentle – as I said, I am mathematically challenged.
You wrote “$21.00 an hour is about 0.0175 cents a line.”
I could never find any information on how to figure this out. How do you take into account super fast talkers, super slow talkers, and people who do not talk at all? Do you take an average? Are you basing this on experience from what you normally type every day?
I really would like to know how to figure this out so that next time I see an ad where they pay by minute or hour, I can make an intelligent comparison.
Thank you so much for not ignoring my question.
