Are there any MT companies who supply software? - broke

I have been an MT for 12+ years and have always worked for companies who supply the needed software, spellcheck, etc. I am in need of a job in the worst way but every company that I read about requires the MT to buy equipment such as C-phone, spellcheck, etc. I have no money right now to purchase this.

I work for Transtech and did not have to buy anything (you can use their computer or yours).
As far as I know Webmedx, Spheris and Diskriter provide everything, and I am sure some other companies as well.
Do you have a foot pedal? Some companies will provide the software for you own computer, but may require a certain foot pedal that you have to buy. That's been the situation with a number of places I've looked into recently.
What's your operating system? Most companies want XP.. some will take Vista. What version of Word?

Most times the job ad will state if the software is provided - and what you need to have yourself

If you go to mtjobs.com you can either search for "software" or just read the listings. If you need to provide your own, it will state so. Most times, the software is provided for your personal computer. If you find a job ad that sounds interesting, usually their website will have more details about what they require.

Woke up to my computer dead (2.5 years old).....shut it down last night, no problems. Did not notice if the blinking light(of the power button) was on or not last night when I went to bed. What other programs besides Start/Stop and Express Scribe are out there. They had an .exe application for it on their ftp server, but of course when I transferred it to my computer and tried to load it, it didn't work. Hi. I've been using Express Scribe for years now and have never run into a situation where it couldn't play the files that I was working with.
