Any happy Synernet MTs out there? - Frustrated

Did I miss something or is everyone but me happy with this change in work pools? Lines down, paycheck down, frustration and aggravation at an all-time high. Just another thing to push us into looking elsewhere.

Your work pools are fine? Really?? You don't mind only doing 1 of your original accounts and learning all new protocols, physician names, places, etc. with 3-4 new accounts? You haven't lost any money with this change or had to make up lines off the clock? I think you are in the minority.

No, I'll admit I've never trained a hospital, though I'd like to train some doctors. Of my 4 accounts I have worked a lot on 1 and it is not a problem, I've worked a fair amount on another but not much recently and I have new dictators and work types, 1 I have worked very little on and it was a long time ago, and 1 I have never worked on. The last time we were expected to learn several new accounts was in our training and we were paid hourly for the first 2 weeks.

I totally agree - much, much worse out there! And I don't even feel like I'm settling - I really like my job. I hate VR, but that is just a sign of the times.

As far as the new pools, my understanding is that we were keeping our primary & then were getting accounts that we had worked the most on in the last 60-90 days. I realize that may not have worked out for everyone, but for me, all 3 of the accounts were accounts I had already been working on and was familiar with so I've not had any adverse effect on my production/pay. I am sorry for those that are taking a hit in the pocket; in that case I too might not be so happy, but even with having to learn new accounts & VR, I know firsthand that we could have it much worse than we do at Synernet - grass is plenty green over here for me!

I've lost money due to the work pool changes. I got 3 new hospitals and lost others. My line count is down 30 lines an hour at least.

My biggest complaint about Synernet is the lousy communication and sm - Buying lottery tickets

inconsistent QA. Supposedly, T is so incredibly busy, they have to hire 2 more chiefs to help her, yet I still never get an answer to any emails I send. I get QA feedback telling me not to expand something, then next time I get marked off for not expanding it. AND the kicker is the work pools. Two days (or maybe it was one) after the big switch and everyone is adjusting to everything, S has to send out a snarky email about not sending things to QA and threatening to write up people. It is insulting and degrading. I have been an MT since Moses was a child, and I wouldn't send things to QA if I could possibly hear it well enough to look it up. And I deserve the courtesy and respect of having my emails answered. They have decent insurance and a nice earned time off benefit, but otherwise, I feel like I have a big anvil hanging over my head.

Who in their right mind names a company "Happy Transcriptions?" In this day and age, all I see is "sad" MTs and, in my opinion, if "Happy Transcriptions" is still happy, they can only be messing even more with us poor "sad" MTs. All I can say is I am so "happy" I am so close to being on my way out of MT! ...

I have an interview with them coming up. They seem like they have a good reputation and the benefits look really good. One thing I am wondering about them is just how flexible are the schedules? For example, right now I am able to work a regular 2nd shift position with no problem (I currently work 2nd shift and prefer it to other shifts), but when school starts my kids will have sports and Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts and I have to take them to their meetings. First the dire email: Mandatory OT by end of week with at least 2 hours on Saturday. Just forget if you had plans for the weekend. Say what time you will be working and have to work those hours and put who okay'd those hours on your timesheet (you might lie you know). So you do that because you want to help the company out and it's nice to have OT again. I am applying for a job with Synernet and will be testing tomorrow. Can anyone tell me approximately how many lines I'd need to type a day to make... lets say 80-85 dollars a day? Anyone out there working for Synernet who has also worked for other companies? I was an IC before joining Synernet a few years ago. They are paying me .7 cpl, no flexibility unless per-diem and then per-diems still have to work 2 holidays a year, lots of vaca time but can't use 2 weeks in the summer until I've been there 10 years, management impossible to get response from regarding any type of question, just got thrown into weekend rotation, etc. After looking at boards I see th ...

Just curious, I'm trying to decide between a few companies and I totally forgot to ask the interviewer. I think the whole VBC thing is criminal. It's bad enough not being paid for all of the research, demographics and CCs we do, but to not pay for characters that we actually type just because they don't print out in black and white is OUTRAGEOUS!!! ...
