Thank you!! All MTs have been kicked to the curb, so it seems. Knew one MT who went into trying to learn court reporting and it was very different and in a world all of its own and she had to drop out. Put in for a Medical Scribe and told I did not have the qualifications after years working in house and taking direct dictation from radiologists. Also put in for a job that said you had to know Queen's English. Was pretty gobsmacked when rejected for just knowing English and not qualified!
Thank you for your post though as you make it sound at least something that could be learned if given a chance, but there are now so many MTs without jobs that so many have had to find a different career when we are not at an employable age. Hard to start over even worse now that so many other careers now are being let go.
You are so correct in that it is a way of weeding out and having to pay even less than minium wage. So many con games we have been through.
