1099 workers versus IC - Pam

Posted: Nov 15th, 2024 - 3:56 pm

I just found out something a little interesting today. Were you aware that if push comes to shove when taking on an IC job or 1099 employment that there is a difference? Please take my word for it as I found out the hard way. If you think you're a 1099 employee/worker see what your contract says. If it wants to cut into your time and have you doing things that sounds more like an hourly worker, you may have misunderstood. Even though Idaho is a right-to-work state with the right for either the employer or employee to quit at any time without reason, if you are an IC with a contract you still have to abide by the terms of that contract. This is just a heads-up as I have found out.

Best of luck to you,

Pam
