Whenever I see a job on Indeed or anywhere else, I go straight to the website of the company. Forget these middle-men. I have had luck with Indeed, but again I usually go to the website after seeing their listing. Sometimes I don't but that is only because I am curious about the job and really don't care if they contact me or not.
I have been ghosted in the past as well. Looking for employment has totally changed and you better be prepared for anything!
