Coding / Medical Billing

Good for you - You got that right

I was 58 when my MT job ended after 18 years with the same employer, great pay and full benefits. I was enrolled in a program, had to have ankle surgery. My life went off track for a while and I never finished my program. I was fortunate to get hired by the same facility for a different position in medical records, so it worked out okay. I'm not making excuses, but it's difficult getting hired when someone is approaching age 60. Truthfully, I haven't seen much help being offered. Two people have shared their salary, and others come here to sing the praises of a certain school. One person asked a specific question and got jumped on and told that the program they enrolled in was garbage, so don't tell me about being mean and petty. If you want exclusivity, maybe you need to password protect the coding board and require credentials. This is an open forum and people who have an interest in MT and/or coding are permitted to participate. As far as not having a life, I guess the same could be said for you because you are here too.
