You got that right - Out of here

I don't question that there is money to be made in the coding world, but the 70K jobs usually come after years of experience and advanced credentialing. As with many jobs, you need to start when you're young, not as someone in their late 50s or early 60s when MT ends and they need a replacement job. I was skeptical when this person was talking about taking 2 six-hour exams on the same day and working multiple jobs at a time, including a volunteer coding gig. Coding is not for everyone, something I can attest to because I attempted to get into it late in life when my MT career ended through no fault of my own. I didn't appreciate being shamed for going on the computer or not having a "real job" Everyone has to make their own choices, there is no one-size-fits-all job. Also, let your kids make their own career choices, people learn from their mistakes.
