And another observation - Taxes

If an employee position pays $20.00 an hour and you make $15.00 as an IC, you are making less than that because of taxes (same with an employee position, but the taxes are better as they contribute to your Social Security). You do have to drive to a job but most people have cars and you can work close to home or as posted, try another WAH job.

There is no way to compare unless you land a CEO position or a six figure a year job, but you probably wouldn't being doing this type of work in the first place. Age plays a part too and don't kid yourself that it doesn't.

Retail and fast food jobs have been taken over by the minorities who have come to this country and are happy to work. They probably live with their family in a small apartment and again are happy to be here.

Again, it is up to the individual. I worked at a restaurant once that delivered pizzas and the driver said he should be paid more and the owner said, I agree, but if you do this job, this is what is pays. You want more money, find another job. That is true with whatever you do.

Don't beat yourself up if you are still doing the worst job in the world which is MT work, but know there are options and if you are truly struggling you should at least check it out.

Like so many posts go on and on about, you don't know what others have to do to work. So save your comments, we have all heard it a thousand times.
