Style for lectures and presentations - JW

Hello! Im transcribing excerpts from medical presentations and lectures and want to make sure I am doing it correctly. Does anyone have samples? I know i am supposed to remove fillers and stutters.....but for example, if they mention a condition am i supposed to put the acronym in parenthesis? Or because they didnt say the acronym, i only type what they say? Those type of things. TIA
