Do you have an Office Depot or Office Max near you? They have electronics recycling programs where they take them away and crush them, they charge a couple of dollars for the service. If you can get the hard drive out, that would be good, but Windows 10 and maybe Windows 8 has a program that lets you roll everything back to the original factory settings. If they are too heavy to lift, there are trash haul away services that will take them away for a nominal fee. If you take a hammer to them, be sure to wear eye protection and you will still need to find a way to recycle the parts.
